Emma Ruth Faupel Scherer
is a senior at Peoria Notre Dame High School.
She studies voice with Dr. Kerry Walters.
Emma first became interested in music through her grade school choir program and began taking lessons from Julia Beer.
As she continued to study music, she found it to be her passion. She is a member of the choir at her high school, and plans to
attend a four-year college in the fall. Though unsure of her major, Emma is certain to stay involved in music.
Emma’s other interests include golf, theatre, and reading. Emma lives with her parents, David Scherer and Mary Lee Faupel,
and younger brother, Chase, in Eureka, Illinois. She would like to thank Dr. Walters for being a constant source of encouragement.
Emma would also like to thank her parents, for supporting her through thick and thin,
and her choir director, Mrs. Wendy Strauss, for the time she devotes to the choral program at Notre Dame.
